# Video

‌Designed to show HI-RES video content that connects your brand with visitors and potential customers.

Videos allow visitors to experience your message with little effort beyond an initial click. They also let you convey ideas that images, copy, and animation cannot—and they do it in a format that’s universally compelling.

### Getting Started

* Go to `Online store` → `Theme` → `Customise`
* To add the `Video` section, scroll to the bottom of the panel and `Add section`

### How do I add a Video?

For this section, you have access to settings that enable you pick a video type and control how the video plays.

While you can choose between your own MP4 files or hosted YouTube or Vimeo videos, we recomend using your own MP4 video uploaded to Shopify for a better user experience.

### Video types

#### Shopify Hosted Video

Using this setting, you can upload and select an MP4 video for your video section banner. Simply pick your MP4 video, upload to Shopify and select your chosen video to play on Shopify.

#### Embed a YouTube or Vimeo video on Shopify <a href="#embed-you-tube-videos-on-shopify-step-by-step" id="embed-you-tube-videos-on-shopify-step-by-step"></a>

YouTube and Vimeo are 2 of the most common platforms to host your videos so you will need to upload your videos to one of these services before adding them to Shopify.

First thing, you’ll want to find the video you want to use and copy its URL.

Once your happy with changes, click save and your done!
