# Multicolumn

The `Multicolumn` section is a useful component and would work well if you want to show different Collections, allowing you to add your own information as opposed to a section such as the Collection list section where the Image, Heading and Caption is dynamically added to the content cards.

### Getting Started

* Go to `Online store` → `Theme` → `Customise`
* By default, you will not see this section pre-loaded
* Scroll to the bottom of the panel and `Add section`

#### How do i customise the Multicolumn with text section settings?

* **Top/bottom padding** - this controls the amount of whitespace above and below this section
* **Heading** - add a strong Call to action to introduce the section (Optional)
* **Text alignment** - change the alignment of text to either be Left, Center or Right aligned
* **Color scheme** - pick a theme color profile to change the style of this section
* **Show button** - by default, when you hover the block image you will see a button with a label. This can be turned on or off

#### How do i customise the Multicolumn with text block settings?

By default, 3 blocks which are named as `Column` are preloaded when you add this section, a max of 8 blocks can be added.

* **Image -** Upload an image, 1000x1000 pixels as a jpg is recomended for best results, to replace the placeholder image.
* **Heading** - Add a strong call to action to introduce the section
* **Caption** - Add extra information to explain your store, products or offers
* **Link** - Connect your block content to any other page
